  1. What is Wedding OpenHouse Weekend (WOW)?

    WOW is a new The Tulsa Wedding Show follow-up wedding planning event that uses your favorite wedding planning tools: the internet, your car, your friends and family, and your cell phone.  WOW allows Tulsa brides to make easy wedding planning even quicker!

    First, attend The Tulsa Wedding Show at the Renaissance Tulsa Hotel and Convention Center on August 8, 2010 and see, taste, touch, smell and experience the largest collection of Tulsa wedding merchants in one place.

    Follow-up your wedding planning at The Tulsa Wedding Show with Wedding OpenHouse Weekend (WOW).  WOW is an event that allows Brides-to-Be (B2B) to easily visit several wedding venues across Tulsa on the same day.  Each venue is decorated with samples showing the possibilities each venue offers a B2B!

    The WOW event is similar to a “tour of homes.” In other words, there are numerous wedding venue locations spread across Tulsa that are participating in a simultaneous wedding “open house” event.  In summary, the WOW is an event designed to help the B2B easily extend her Tulsa Wedding Show experience, in a fun day of visiting wedding venue locations and talking to wedding merchants. The WOW event picks up where wedding shows ends.

  2. What types of merchants will be at the venues?

    WOW venues, merchants and services are as different from each other as Brides-to-Be (B2B) or their wedding plans are. Because of these differences, the wedding merchants vary at each venue. No two venues will be alike! Each venue will host a variety of wedding merchants, from photographers to florists, to cakes and so on. Go to the maps page and view each location. The maps give details of where venues are located, as well as which supporting wedding merchants will be at which locations (Posted 8-9-2010). You will also find a mini slide show of each venue and supporting merchants. Links to web sites for all wedding merchants involved will be posted immediately prior to the event.

  3. Will facebook be involved in any way?

  4. What are the features of the WOW event?
    1. WOW features a "life-like" wedding planning experience at actual wedding venues.
    2. Multiple locations.
    3. WOW allows a B2B to have an "in person" experience at wedding venues and allows more one-on-one conversations, at a slower pace, than the wedding show.
    4. Facility tours will be conducted throughout the day.
  5. Is transportation provided between locations?

    Since each B2B has different needs, and will want to talk to different wedding merchants for different lengths to time, each person should drive to locations with small groups of family and friends.

  6. How will WOW communicate with Brides-to-Be on the day of the event?

    Prizes will be announced by email.  Make sure you check your email after the show is over!

  7. Do I need to Pre-Register?

    Yes.  You will be given the chance to register as you purchase your ticket.

  8. What about fashion shows?

    Live fashion shows are featured at The Tulsa Wedding Show but not the WOW event.
